Andy and Shannon Pestoni are the talents behind Jelly Jar wines. Andy, vineyard manager and winemaker, and Shannon, sales and marketing.
Both grew up in the Napa Valley. In fact, the Pestonis have worked the land in and around the Napa Valley since 1882.
The name is a homage to their upbringing in the valley, where wine was as natural on the family table as knife and fork and what one drank it out of, not nearly as important as the warmth and fellowship of family and friends being together.
Jelly Jar brings three wines to the market. A refreshing Rose, a saignee of Zinfandel, that is almost thirst quenching with spring flowers and watermelon "Jolly Rancher", a certified organic Zinfandel from Lake County that's filled with fresh picked red fruits, winter spices and pink peppercorns and a Barbera that's ladened with juicy blue fruit and firm acidity.
