Started in 2012 by mother and son, Jane and Roy Chapin, Thomas Brown makes this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Steltzner and Regusci vineyards in the Stag Leap district. The appellation's mix of volcanic remnants and river sediment give the SLD wines their remarkable “rock soft” qualities. Beginning in the 1960’s and 1970’s, pioneering growers established the district as a serious contender to Old World wines—particularly Cabernet Sauvignon. 4 Winds is in excellent company.
